Terra Madre Americas: The Free Golden 1 Live Music Stage

Sep 16, 2025

Food festivals should taste great and sound amazing. Terra Madre’s Golden 1 Live Music Stage — planted at 14th & I St — runs Saturday and Sunday with a serious roster. Headliners include The War on Drugs, Spoon, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Jade Bird, and Passion Pit (Michael Angelakos, solo acoustic); Sacramento talent like Jon Wiilde, The Golden Cadillacs, hotplug, Son Café, ZEPHYR, and DJs keep the energy rolling between sets. All free.

Strategy for maximum vibes: Saturday is the late night — pair midday Marketplace grazing with an afternoon Enoteca wander, then drift outside as the stage lights up into the evening (street festival runs noon–10pm). Sunday brings a gentler arc (noon–6pm outside), perfect for an earlier set and a final sweep through your favorite vendors.

Pack festival-smart: a hat, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a portable charger. Eat early (lines grow with the grooves), keep hydrated, and plot a couple “anchor sets” you won’t miss. The best seat might be standing — the crowd’s the point — but you’ll find pockets of shade along the edges. When the big chorus hits, you’ll be grateful you saved some voice for dessert.
